As SirActionSlacks tunes into Purge’s stream, he was greeted with Purge’s friendly gesture that goes, “it takes more than a blink of an eye and cheap small talk to erect my p#n&$”.
The clueless Slacks just burst into laughter as he did not get the hilarious reference.
A Rough week for Dota 2 Esports
It has definitely been a hectic past week in the Dota 2 community. With the ongoing MeToo movement and accusations on famous figures in the Esports industry, the Dota 2 community was also very much affected.
While most are absolutely disgusted by the sexual assaults committed by GrandGrant and Tobiwan, some were upset since we will not be seeing Tobi’s casting anymore. Regardless, it was a much-needed movement to ensure that women in the industry have their voices heard.
Among those accused, was DeMoN, a North American streamer and also the coach of team Business Associates. Regardless of Demon’s statement responding to the accusations, tournament organizer, Beyond the Summit, has already outcasted him along with those accused.

What gets Purge going
Yet, amidst the disappointments and defensive statement from DeMoN, it’s still nice to see that the community finds some shred of light to have a quick laugh at. In Jimmy’s statement, along the lines, he wrote that “it takes more than a blink of an eye and cheap small talk to erect my p#n&$”. The sentence came after DeMoN gave his perspective of how he would hit on a woman to ensure success.
People have already begun to use it as a meme, such as Purge casually telling it to Slacks or the Reddit posts using the sentence as a reference. Either way, at this point, the new “meme” can be used in any conversation without a context, and it will undoubtedly sound hilarious to most people.
DeMoN’s statement was incredibly long and detailed that it took him quite a while to get it out too. For instance, in another accuser’s story shared by Hot_Bid, DeMoN allegedly grabber her underwear. In which, DeMoN responded with, “Grabbing someone’s underwear sounds like a lot of effort”. He called out that the claim was flat out dubious.
Two Sides of a story
Anyways, regardless of our opinion, Jimmy still gave his side of the story and denied all allegations made against him. Especially since he was accused of being a predator, creep and rapist.
If it wasn't transparent enough, I do deny these allegations against me. This will be a difficult one to recover but to be accused of a sexual predator, creep or even rapist is something beyond my character. I apologize for the apparent victims for what they believed was true.— Jimmy (@DotaDeMoN) June 29, 2020
Unfortunately, we might not be expecting to see him in any tournaments for the time being, or at least until he clears up his name for good.
Meanwhile, perhaps we as part of the Dota 2 community can take these past weeks’ worth of drama as a lesson to treat women with respect and act with moral when witnessing any sexual assaults. Stay vigilant.
