Dota 2 players have been persistently experiencing different issues in the current Matchmaking as Valve is continually tweaking it to provide better results to it’s players.
“As a result of the recent changes to legal party combinations, we sometimes have scenarios where three person parties have a lot of trouble finding compatible players. This is because 3 person parties have recently been disallowed from matching against 5 stacks or solos. Matching against solos in particular had allowed for a much bigger spectrum of compatitble matches, but we know that that is undesirable to some players. So with this update, we are allowing 2s and 3s to on occasion match with a 5 stack when the need is high. #Dota2”
With a lot of players complaining to Valve about the current state of Matchmaking even with the new feature Fast Queue still not perfectly working, they will continue to roll out this small changes to make progress regarding the matter. Today, a small tweak is applied in the Client that will change restrictions in party combinations. Party of 2s and 3s will have chances of matching up against a full 5 stack when the queue amount is low and also to avoid Solo players matching up against this number of stacks as it is proven to be frowned upon. This is mainly to fix the compatilibility conflicts in-game.
