Renegades have announced that they have parted ways with their CS:GO squad with immediate effect.
The announcement comes amidst a report from Dexerto revealing that the Australian team are on the brink of joining 100 Thieves, who have no secret of their intention to return to Counter-Strike.
In a Twitter post, Renegades wished "good luck" to the team with 100 Thieves, though the organisation led by Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag has not yet confirmed the move. The tweet has since been deleted, with no explanation given.
Renegades bid farewell to their CS:GO team
Renegades entered CS:GO in June of 2015 with the signing of the former Vox Eminor squad, which at the time was led by Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill. During their long tenure under the North American organisation, the Australians attended five Counter-Strike Majors, making the playoffs for the first time at IEM Katowice 2019. The team would go one better at the StarLadder Major, where they reached the semi-finals before losing to AVANGAR.
The Australian team, who are currently ranked seventh in the world, will return to action at IEM Beijing on November 7. Later that month, they will be taking part in the second stage of ESL Pro League Season 10 Americas, facing FURIA, Isurus and eUnited.
