Cloud9 announced the benching of Tyson "TenZ" Ngo and are adding Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik to the team on a trial basis.
Days after the announcement of Soham "valens" Chowdhury's departure from Cloud9, the North American organization has now made a statement regarding another move, the benching of TenZ. The 18-year-old will be substituted by another Canadian, Subroza, who joins the team on a trial basis.

The changes come as the team struggles to find an identity. Cloud9 finished 4th at BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles in their first outing, with a win a tie and four losses, before traveling to Helsinki, Finland, where they lost a two-map series to FURIA at the Arctic Invitational.
Things didn't get much better on home soil as Cloud9 struggled online with the ECS Weekly cups, finishing 3-4th twice and improving to 2nd in the last one, losing only to one of the hottest teams in the region at the moment, Evil Geniuses. The last nail in the coffin came at ESL Pro League, where Damian "daps" Steele and company not only lost to EG once again, but dropped series to eUnited and Complexity, going out in last place.
In the video announcement, C9 coach James "JamezIRL" Macaulay cites differences in the approach to the game between TenZ and the rest of the team, going on to add that Subroza will be on trial for ECS and at BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen.
