With the recent update, matchmaking seemed to be quite okay for most players. However, Immortal players suffered a bit because of the update, but today, the devs released an update that aims to solve the problems of Immortals.
In a small news (https://store.steampowered.com/news/55280/), Dota 2 announced that today’s update will ensure that Immortal players can now party with other Immortals and Divine players when they play Ranked.
The first update is done after Immortal players voiced their concern about having long queue times and low quality matches.
The next part of the update listens to the suggestions of the public as they make Immortals only match with other Immortals and Divines. With that, the matchmaking creates a “separate” pool for the high ranks.
To simplify, if a Divine 5 queues for a game, they will face fellow Divines and might have a few low-ranked Immortals in their game. However, a party of a Divine and Ancient will result to them not being matched with Immortals since the other player is not an Immortal nor a Divine.
This update may still extend the queue times of the players, but this is a step towards higher-quality matches for them. Do you think it will work? Share your thoughts in the comments and stay tuned for more!
