Yesterday, immediately after Royal Never Give Up (RNG) finished third in the DreamLeague Minor Adam “adam/343” Shah confirmed to us that he was kicked from the team moments after the loss in the lower bracket finals, RNG citing communication issues for their decision.
Today, the organization has officially announced to have promoted Xue “September” Zhichuan from their subsidiary team to the main roster.
RNG’s official announcement roughly translates:
“In order to better cope with the challenges that have come up this season and improve the overall competitive strength, the club decided to adjust the lineup after speaking to all the players. The details are as follows: The original RNG team’s 5th player, Adam has officially left the team and became a free agent again while the RNG Youth team member Xue Zhichuan (ID: September) was promoted to the main team. Thanks to 343 since the team was built, we’ve gone through a number of competitions, and we hope that the new addition brings vitality to the team.
We are very grateful to the fans for their expectation and support. We will work together as soon as possible to meet the tacit understanding of the team and welcome the PGL Bucharest Major qualifiers starting on the 26th. See you at the stadium!”
It’s worth to mention that RNG have mistaken a few things towards the end of their announcement as the PGL event they refer to is in fact a Minor and not a Major and it will be held behind closed doors at the PGL offices, from Bucharest, Romania, therefore, there will be no stadium and no live audience.
RNG current roster:
– Du “Monet” Peng
– Gao “Setsu” Zhenxiong
– Sun “Srf” Runfa
– Tue “Ahfu” Soon
– Xue “September” Zhichuan
RNG’s newest addition, September is mostly known for his time spent at LGD Gaming during the TI6 period. He started his professional career at CDEC Avenger and in Spring 2016 he was recruited by LGD. Back then he was considered one of the best Phoenix players in the world and qualified with LGD for TI6, but due to visa problems, he was not able to attend the event. LGD played at TI6 with their coach from back then Wang “Banana” Jiao and finished just 9th/12th in Seattle.
In the TI7 aftermath, September headed back to CDEC, but he didn’t register any notable results through the last two years of his career. Before joining RNG Youth team he played for Eclipse.
