With the post-TI qualfier draught in full swing, Bot TI has been the saving grace for many content-starved Dota 2 fans.
The light-hearted stream has been sprinkled with some controversy, as the talent has expressed their displeasure with certain outcomes. But this weekend, it will all come to an end. With the main event starting we'll finally figure out which Easy bot is the best in the game.
The weekend will start off tomorrow, Saturday, with the Round of 16. The day will kick off at 12:00 PT, which is 21:00 CEST. The exact schedule is not yet known, but as the event will finish on Sunday, at least half the double elimination bracket has to be played. What we do know is that the inital matchups will be:
— (1) Enigma vs. (16) Phoenix
— (8) Sven vs. (9) Juggernaut
— (4) Abaddon vs. (13) Bloodseeker
— (5) Zeus vs. (12) Warlock
— (2) Undying vs. (15) Kunkka
— (7) Shadow Shaman vs. (10) Bristleback
— (3) Elder Titan vs. (14) Tidehunter
— (6) Dragon Knight vs. (11) Luna
(Hero seed in parenthesis)
Enigma is the well deserved #1 seed coming into the brackets. His stacking of Midnight Pulse has enabled him to crush opponents in all his games, rarely taking even one loss. Something special will have to happen if he is to not take home the tournament.
Also don't forget that you can still sign up for the fantasy bot competition. While catching up to the top of the leaderboard will be hard, it will make you more invested in each matchup and that usually leads to more excitement.
Make sure you tune in for the finals of Bot TI this weekend. BTS has teased us with special events and giveaways. It is — after all — the most important TI played in July.
