Infamous is now left without any Peruvian player after their mid laner Enzo “Timado” Gianoli split ways with the organization.
Timado and Infamous have their fair amount of history together, the player being in and out from the team for two times now. Back in 2017, Timado qualified with Infamous for The International and became one of the five South American players to have first-ever attended the most important Dota 2 tournament. It was just a bottom four finish at TI7 for Infamous and immediately after the event Timado left the team to venture in the NA region. The 2018 competitive season had him swapping between a few teams and even trying his luck via Europe, but at the start of the current Dota Pro Circuit, he returned to South America and to Infamous.
It hasn’t been a particularly good season for Infamous so far and the Peruvian team started to slowly replace their local players with talent from abroad. Back in March, Infamous went to the DreamLeague Major in Sweden with EG’s former carry Mason “mason” Venne. Right after their elimination from that Major, Mason left the team. A few days later, the Peruvian organization flew in two Europeans, Oliver “oliver” Lepko to take the carry role and Malthe “Biver” Winther to replace Romel “Wu” Quinteros in the offlane. The recent Major and Minor qualifiers showed no improvements and the first to leave the squad was Joel Mori “MoOz” Ozambela on the 18th of April. A week later, Infamous have also thanked Timado for his efforts.
From Infamous’ official statement:
“Timado is one of the most outstanding players we ever had. We are happy for all the work we put together in the past season and we thank him for all the endurance and all the effort he dedicated for this team. We wish him best of luck and all that’s left now is to ask ourselves who should be our new mid lane player.”
Infamous have about two weeks before the final set of Major and Minor qualifiers begin and perhaps one of their options is Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier, who stood in for them earlier this month at WSOE: Serenity’s Destiny. Infamous placed third in that event and took home $10,000 for their effort.
Infamous current roster:
Oliver “oliver” Lepko
Mariano “Papita” Caneda
Malthe “Biver” Winther
